RARE TVR Tasmin 280i - Drive-By, Engine Note
Description
Lately, i have been spotting quite a lot of TVR's. This was one of them. Not a Griffith or a Chimaera, but a Rare Wedge Shaped, Tasmin 280i. One of TVR's first of the Wedge'd Cars during the 70's and 80's The Tasmin was the first car to have a Bonded windscreen. The Tasmin also was made out of different cars. For instance, the running gear was from old ford's at the time, things like Cortinas and old Sierras. Suspension was from a Cortina, Gearboxes were also from a Cortina, and the the Brakes, You've guessed it, a Granada. The Differential was from a Jaguar XJS. The Engine Powering this beast was a 2.8 Litre, Cologne V6 straight from Ford themselves. The Engine Produced a Max BHP rating of 160, meaning a 0-60mph time of 8.0 seconds, onwards to a top speed of 128mph. Pitiful in Modern Day standards. The Tasmin V6 was also quite rare, having only made over 1000 models. The Reason why i recorded this, 1) because it was awesome looking, 2) It's a TVR, how cool is that! I managed to find this car driving down Picadilly. One really awesome find i reckon. Anyway, enjoy!!
