Denver - Cosmopolitan Hotel Implosion

Description

The Cosmopolitan Hotel stood at the end of the block at 18th Street between Broadway and Lincoln in Downtown Denver from 1926 until this implosion in 1984. The implosion of the hotel was used in an episode of Alfred Hitchcock so there are some excellent camera angles. Unfortunatly, this portion of Downtown Denver remains a parking lot to this day. More information about this hotel and the block it sits on is available here: www.denverinfill.com
