The Nissan Qashqai has seen a lot of makeovers in the recent past and it is now available in both petrol and diesel engine options in overseas market; both have two variants each. The diesel engine range comprises of of 1.5 dCi and 2.0 dCi while the petrol variants are powered by a 1.6 litre and a 2.0 litre engines. One can also get a 4X4 drive top end variant with both the engines. The company had launched a larger seating capacity variant of Nissan Qashqai globally that is christened 'Qashqai+2' and has a 7 seater option while the older version is only a five seater. The Nissan Qashqai 1.5 litre dCi, in-line 4 cylinder diesel engine churns out a maximum power of 106 hp at 4000 rpm and belts out peak torque of 240 Nm at 2000 rpm. The higher cubic capacity 2.0 litre, 1994cc, in-line 4 cylinder, diesel mill of the Nissan Qashqai produces a top power of 110 hp at 4000 rpm and generates highest torque of 320 Nm at 2000 rpm. Both the engine variants are coupled with 6 speed manual gearbox while the 4X4 variant of the Qashqai is incorporated with both 6 speed manual and automatic transmission.
