this poorly shot video shows hot to repair,then reinstall android 2.2, then root , then install/ flash kryrillos rom (optional) in under 15 minutes, To start you need a stock samsung galaxy 3, aka samsung gti-15801 aka galaxy apollo,running android 2.1 and rooted (use Z4.apk) or an android 2.2 rooted (messed up phone is still ok), you should end up with a great android phone with live wallpapers and app2sd and more. please note you will need to download some files before you start, and PLEASE NOTE my phone was a 15801 and ended up as a 15800 so bear this in mind if you are in warranty! I got the firmware from samfirmware.com it does ask for a free registration, and have had no problems with this - you do need samsung kies- a free official package, you can get the Rom file from XDA developers site just select the samsung 3 and follow your nose, you will use a package called odin to do the work , this is also free and works nicely though does sometimes crash REMOVE YOUR SIM AND MEMORY CARD - to enter download mode hold power + the volume down button + the home button whilst phone is turning on UNZIP the firmware files , you'll have one as an OPS for the phone and several you need to put in, such as CSC PDA BOOT , just follow your intuition with these they are all named , DON't UNZIP the Kyrillos Rom file just use the same as before , select OPS, and click "one package" and add the Rom in the box, don't panic on the first boot as this does take ages and you'll think you'vr <b>...</b>
