Entry from: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Entry Title: "Monkeys, Vipers, Sharks & Dragons" Entry: "So Kuala Lumpur (hereafter known as KL to avoid me having to continually spell it out) is a typical big city. It does not seem much different at first glance from a western city. It does have the largest twin towers in the world, the Petronas Towers, which were bigger than the World Trade Center prior to its demise, so there is no need for an asterisk. The Petronas Towers are pretty cool looking as they hover above the city and provide shade for many blocks of downtown workers. There is a bridge connecting them which tourists can wait in line for several hours to see. I had zero inclination, nor the patience required to wait that long, to go up and get a view of the city that can be had from a number of other places. The bridge is only about halfway up so it doesn't matter how tall the towers are after that point. Plus, the view from other vantage points are of a horizon that INCLUDES the Petronas Towers (this is the same reason I did not go to the top of the Eiffel Tower). KL seems to be a pretty decent place to live. Robust economy and a culture as diverse as one can imagine. If America is a melting pot and Europe is a mosaic, then what the hell is KL? I would compare it more to Europe in the sense of <b>...</b>
