Alpine Rally ft the New Triumph Herald, 1959

Description

Its June 1959 and early production cars of the new Triumph Herald are entered into the Alpine Rally. Driven by Lewis (101) and Barker (100) with co-drivers Nash and Donnely both cars finished the rally with Ian 'Tiny' Lewis awarded a Coupe des Alpes for an unpenalised run and 9th overall. The Rally started at Marseilles travelled to Cortina through the Italian Dolomites and finished back at Cannes - a grueling trip of over 2400 miles in 5 days www.triumph-herald.com
