Why I Fitted an Autometer Rev Counter

Description

This is a short clip that demonstrates the reason as to why I fitted an Autometer rev counter to one of my cars - besides liking the look of it. The standard tacho has a wildly inaccurate needle that makes it hard to judge what the actual engine speed is - while the air-core Autometer is always spot on, regardless of any changes in engine speed. The shift light also makes it much easier to focus on driving without having to constantly check the gauges (although you can usually judge from the noise), which comes in use on hard takeoffs or changes - plus, as the gauge is usually mounted more in your line of sight when looking ahead, it means you can focus on the road and not have to glance down at the instrumentation. I will definitely be buying more Autometer gauges for my next project, as besides doing the job well they have a very high standard of build quality.
