timeriksenmusic.com This is the Red Rosy Bush, from Lee Monroe Presnell's singing ultimately. So far this spring occasions I've had to sing that I would have like to have filmed include: -red wing blackbirds in Poor Farm Swamp before the ice even melted. -peepers and thunder at the same time. It's unusual to get much of a thunder storm while the peepers are still out. -the wild cherry in the woods behind my house -fiddleheads and ramps -bees and apple blossoms. I did film some, but it didn't really work. I got a great shot of a bumblebee but a C5A out of Westover AFB wasn't the sound I was after. I also tried singing 499 (SH) on Mt. Pollux, but the blossoms were almost gone by then and I didn't sing that well. -Dora's memorial at Hampshire College -saying goodbye to Minneapolis, playing instruments in the front yard before selling them at the big Bryn Mawr tag sale. I do have video of a bunch of us singing 448b (SH) on the back patio- maybe I'll post that. -the Pioneer Valley Indian Association meeting a couple weeks ago. That got filmed too actually, but isn't as interesting as it was being there. -with Omar Sosa at the Hop and especially in class with students providing a drone -the last couple of Tuesday singings, which have been really tight, especially last week in John and Greta's barn. And now the crickets are already out. In keeping with the cliche, this stuff goes by so fast- part of why I was reluctant to let go of winter. I'm not really in harmony with the <b>...</b>
