1988 Toyota MR2 (AW11) - Cold Start Idle

Year: 1988 Make: Toyota Model: MR2 Engine: 16v 4AGE Car has a weird idle when warming up, regardless of the weather. This is over the course of about 10 minutes, cropped for YouTube restrictions and viewability. Real TIme: 0:00 - Starts 2:10 - Fluctuating Idle 10:00 - Idle Stabilizes Video TIme: 0:00 - Starts 1:30 - Fluctuating Idle 2:10 - Tachometer 3:05 - Idle Stabilizes Update: Turns out that it was just bubbles in my coolant due to my broken coolant overflow reservoir cap. Once replaced, no fluctuating idle. Idle is still rough, but will be giving the car a tune-up to see if that helps. Update 2: Tune-up did not help much in terms of smoothing out the idle below 900RPM. Will probably need to do a little cleaning. Update: New muffler and catalytic converter installed. Makes the car a lot quieter.
