A GT-6 Lap of the Nurburgring, April 1969

Description

A lap of the Nürburgring (well, most of a lap, anyway) in 1969, before they removed the famous "keyhole" at the end of the pit straight, flattened the main straight, flattened most of the "jumping" places, and changed several famous corners that were considered too dangerous for F-1. Taken in super 8 without sound, (Play your own!) the film is old and occasionally hard to watch, but it is still unique. Taken from our GT-6, April, 1969. The changes in the track-side and the track itself are amazing. No wonder today's lap times are so much faster! The scene of the Carousel is neat: Surprise! the racing line is filled with snow so go around on top!
