Michael Jordan 1986 Playoffs: 63pts, Gm 2 Vs. Celtics

Description

MJ's 1st 50+pt game is this Legendary Game. It's still the playoff record and is ranked 3rd in the book "Michael Jordan's Top 50 Games". NBA Sophomore MJ was just 23 years old but he would show the world in just his 6th playoff game that there would never be another player like him again. This Celtics team was considered perhaps the greatest team ever. Having won 67 games, 40-1 at home, 31 straight at home and on a 14 win streak, MJ single-handedly almost dismantled them. Scoring on vicious attacks, athletic jumpers from everywhere and finesse and power moves all at once, MJ displayed an intensity to win and take the entire Boston Team all by himself. It was chilling to watch. Scaring the guts out of the Champion Celtics in their unbeatable home court, MJ played a game that still stands as the greatest post-season record of all-time with 63 points. The only quote you need to remember is Bird saying, "That was God disguised as Michael Jordan. He's the most awesome player I've ever seen...he was getting his points in the flow of the game...scary." Celtics coach KC ...
