RAF Tornado GR4 and Typhoon's Enforce the No-Fly Zone Over Libya

Description

Read Full Story @ defense-update.com The UN mandated operation against Libya has evolved in recent days into three parallel efforts -- the enforcement of the 'no fly zone' over the country, ground attacks supporting and stimulating a rebel campaign repelling Gaddafi supporters, and a 'drying' Gaddafi's military sustainment by enforcing a naval blockade, preventing reinforcements, weapons and ammunition shipments from reaching Libyan ports. This video includes edited scenes showing RAF Typhoon fighters taking off from Gioia del Colle air base in Italy. The video also shows a strike mission flown by Tornado GR4 strike fighters. The clip shows strike images as seen through the fighter's Litening targeting pods. Tornados used laser guided bombs and Brimstone missiles to destroy Libyan tanks, armored personnel carriers and mobile, multiple rocket launchers.
