Agile 8 string guitar review
Description
Straight forward review of the agile 8 string guitar. This is a custom model and not one that can be bought from the web page. Its only modifications however are the pick-ups and circuitry, the remainder of the guitar is original. Apologies for the laggy sound, ill get it re-recorded as soon as passable, but the picture isn't necessary to understand what im talking about. All criticism welcome unless harsh. Cheers :D If you CBA to listen the info is: Scale length : go for 28", 30" is a bit of a stretch and the contrasting tone is not beneficial enough to compromise playability at speed unless your already used to 35" or so bass guitars Stringing: 0.090 - Low F# (Drop octave E) 0.075 - Low B 0.075 - Low B 0.052 - E 0.052 - E 0.042 - A 0.042 - A 0.032 - D 0.032 - D 0.016 - G 0.016 - G 0.012 - B 0.012 - B 0.009 - E 0.009 - E 0.006 - High A The feel of the guitar is good but closer to a schecter and ESP than an Ibanez or Jackson type neck. Mahogany body has warm tonal response but delivers enough bite for a real heavy tone. Bridge/neck thru body combo provides excellent sustain. Action can be set incredibly low and the neck is very stable with 2 truss rods. Grover mini roto-matics are perfect on all gauges except the need to unwind the bottom 2 strings. Also the natural finish 7pc body/5pc neck thru looks stunning. Overall for $699 list price, you cant get better. Note : my guitar has a 2nd EMG in the neck as well as the standard bridge, 1/4 inch away from the end of the <b>...</b>
