My D&S Performance 1987 Stage-1 Buick 455 Regal Special-T's RADIO IS HEARD!!! 5-9-2011
Description
The radio in the Stage-1 can be heard ... at almost full volume with the windows rolled up over the MSD 3500-rpm Rev-Limited pull. LOL. I had so much "Project Buick 455 Regal" parts, spare 3-inch exhaust pipes, brackets, nuts & bolts, and heavy-duty tools in my trunk ... at least 65-lbs of unnecessary weight. I also noticed the 5-1/2-lbs of fuel pressure. I checked the fuel lines ... and the section (rubber) from the fuel filter to the Holley is too close to the heater hose (bypassed) and the Edelbrock intake manifold. I found that rubber section of fuel line HOT to the touch. All I need is a 90-degree fitting from the Holley, and I will run braided stainless steel 3/8-inch fuel line replacing that rubber fuel line section ... and WRAP IT with heat resistant fuel line foam. The next $$$ into this Regal is the wheel alignment issue. SO-FAR-SO-GOOD.
