2004 Grand Prix GT1. Quick recording taken June 2007 to accompany an advert to sell the car. This video might be handy if you're interested in buying one of these 04's used but haven't been behind the wheel yet. Much hoo'rah is made about the supercharged version, but in this video you can hear what the standard 3800 w/ dual exhaust sounds like behind the wheel, plus the interior, gauges and buttons. BACKGROUND: I owned this car from 05-07 after my 01 Impala LS was totaled. Was bought 1 year old with 49K km in Halifax NS for only $12750 (less than 1/2 price of new -- gotta love gm depreciation). Yes I know these Pontiacs are a bit cheesy and the interiors a tad Rubbermaid, but for the money it was a perfect car for the 2 yrs and 35K I drove it. Was used mostly for long distance highway driving and was comfortable and entertaining even after 10 hrs. Can pass anything in seconds, and got around 38mpg or 7.5 L/100km. Sold when I moved to Montreal Quebec in 07 for $10250 so I figured it was a decent ROI and no repair costs at all.
