Under the hood, the company installs a revised ECU, a sport air filer and a new exhaust system. This enables the 2.0-liter TSI engine to produce 330 PS (243 kW / 325 bhp) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 65 PS (48 kW / 64 bhp) and 70 Nm (52 lb-ft). Thanks to the added power, the Cupra R accelerates from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.8 seconds, before topping out at 268 km/h (167 mph). Other goodies include an adjustable KW coil-over suspension, lowering springs, which reduce the ride height by 40mm, and 19-inch alloy wheels outfitted with high performance tires. On the styling front, JE Design offers bumper / side sill extensions and a tailgate-mounted spoiler. Inside, customers can order a two-tone color scheme which matches the exterior.
