daily driver, all weather, 65000 miles, owned by me from new, oil changed every 1000 miles! featured/tracktested in 'The Golf+' magazine Sept 2004 issue, pages 60 - 63,"it's entry speed into Quarry is nothing short of awesome". laps Castle Combe in 1 min 29 sec, best 1/4 mile 16.5 sec. also featured in 'VW Motoring' and readers car of the month in 'Performance VW' . Its lasted longer than the Seat Dealer I bought it off. In the walkround, you can see 2 switches, FAN and FUEL; I can over ride the cooling fan to switch it on indepentently, I use this on the last lap at a trackday and before and after a run at the drag strip. The FUEL switch allows me to control the fuel pump, I kill the engine by switching it off till the engine dies then switch off the ignition. To start the car I then spin the engine over till the oil pressure warning light goes out, then flick on the fuel pump and the engine fires, saving the cams from wear! Silver pipes set into the lower bumper either side direct cold air to the back of the brake discs, meaning I never get brake fade on the track. Silver pipes in the engine bay direct cold air into the highly modified air box from the front grill. Right and rear engine mountings are modified, suspension is Koni coilover, camber and tracking is set by me, front wishbones fitted with black Motorsport bushes (special order only ) dampers are modified to allow non-factory camber settings.
