Detomaso Pantera Car - Top view, engine sound and specs. (Ford, De Tomaso)
Description
Top view, engine and specs of this De Tomaso Pantera grp4 - www.wheelnuts.co.za - The Pantera replaced the De Tomaso Mangusta in 1970. The early ones were powered by Ford 351 cubic inches which produced 246kw. This is mine which is a grp4. Heres what it sounds and looks like....( Quad Weber 48IDA's, 180 degree exhaust plus Accusump pressurized oil system.) Setting up the Webers with x4 vacuum gauges. - Contrary to popular believe, Webers, as long as one has good linkage, will stay in tune for ages, years in fact. Even quads. IR ( individual runner ) inlet manifold allow the mixture to speed up helping the 'soggy' throttle response with Pantera big valves & ports. The IDA's are designed for the track, but they work very well on the street as well of course. I have run them on many cars over the years with excellent results and I enjoy the sound.
