Simon Birch debuts new supercharged FG XR8 ute

Simon Birch recently debuted his new FG XR8 ute at a private test day at the Perth Motorplex. Birch ran 10.0 seconds on his first pass before the heat of the day really came around, followed by a tyre-smoking backed off 10.33, and his final pass of the day recording another backed off and soft launching tough 10.0. Powered by a Whipple-supercharged 5.4 litre Ford and ripping out more than 750rwhp, with some cooler track conditions, this car should be quite capable of consistent 9-second laps.
