1962 Mercedes Benz 220SEb

According to Mercedes production records, there were 4700 two door coupes and cabriolets produced worldwide in 1962. Most likely, there were about 2500-2800 coupes. This is a semi-rare automobile, probably one of the 25% running today. it is a Silver Mercedes with red leather interior, two door, four passenger, Very strong engine. The transmission is in need of work, it leaks occasionally and shifts rather poorly. The fuel gauge is not working, but other instruments operate correctly. The distance gauges are all in Kilometers, but we aren't sure of the original odometer reading. Radio is operable after flipping a switch near the hood lever. Includes new tires, new ignition switch, working sun roof, and presently ALL of the lights work.. The biggest troubles are that the transmission is leaky/and shifts roughly, there are two major rust spots [under each door area, midway between wheels]. The rear bumper has two dents in it. Original color is ivory, but it was repainted silver. Body and interior/wood looks to be in excellent condition.. For an almost 50 year old car,
