Austin A30 - SX9574
Description
Designed to be Austin's answer to the new Morris Minor, the A30 was launched in 1951 and powered by an all new 803cc, four cylinder, OHV engine known as the A-series. "OzzInter" commented - "Interesting that the A30 was designed as a rival to the original Morris Minor. Later Austin and Morris merged and the Minor received the Austin engine as an improvement. The A30 and the Minor became "sisters" rather than rivals! " This example is displayed at the Glasgow Museum of Transport.
