Custom cross rails car top carrier save money

Not sure why my video cuts off short. I had much trouble uploading this one to Youtube for some reason. I built my own cross rails for my car top carrier. You can too and save lots of money. Solid Aluminum square bars 2024-T3. The width on mine is 0.875" and the length is 4ft. Fits my 2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 perfectly. U-bolts are from Lowes and are Stainless Steel with lock washers. I have them cranked down very tightly against the foam tool box padding.
