The Rolls Royce Phantom II, built in 1934 as a convertible and called the „Star of India is one of the most beautiful and rare veteran cars ever built. It's name stems from the most famous and largest star sapphire in the world with 563 carats, the Star of India. Remarkable is also the fact that the coat of arms of the British-Indian Empire was also named after this jewel. The Most Exalted Order of the Star of India is a British order of knights which was founded in 1861 by Queen Victoria. Even though the order has not been bestowed since the independence of India and Pakistan in 1947, it still, however, exists. The only living member is Queen Elisabeth II as the sovereign of the order. It stands in fifth place of the ten British orders of knights. The emblem of the British-Indian Empire, which was founded in 1876, was the Star of India, which shows a star with five points surrounded by a belt on a sun with the motto „Heaven's light our guide. The Rolls Royce „Star of India was built by order of His Majesty the Maharajah of Rajkot as a state convertible to be used on ceremonial occasions.
