changing a p76 v8 to a 2.6L 6, for mattys 1st car. lots of rust to fix

Found an old vid of a p76 accelorating hard. Had a ford 9" and 15 X 8 275 60 series on it. When the spedo read 160 it was really 209! woops!

Removing the engine and box out of the purple people eater for some tlc and a startermotor change.

1st part in fixing a mates p76 with a blown head gaskit.

This is matt's dry red executive we converted to 6 cyl. 4 speed man. This is about 4 hours after the clear coat dried. Not bad for a first try on a very rough body.

Got the engine/box out and found the end of the starter motor had been chewed to bits.

This is matty's dry red p76 geting the black base coat. 2 coats of black, then 2 red, then 2 clear.

Matt's dry red executive with the 6cyl. in and the new guard welded on. We had to stretch the eyebrow up and raise the frount left corner by 26mm to match the new straight guard.

This is my old purple P76 V8 at the farm. I got too close to the ploughed area after a heavy rain. Had to drag the trolley jack and ralley tyres threw the mud to get the car out. Grabbed 2nd on 5500 rpm just to move it!
