Building the 1971 Plymouth Duster 340
Description
This is the build process of the AMT ERTL 1/25 scale 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 V8 coupe, built up during late 2007. The Duster was an interesting approach - based on the Valiant, it was designed literally in secret from Chrysler management on the cheap - it proved a good idea, as hundreds of thousands of them were sold between 1970-76 - I always wanted to build a Valiant variant (the Chrysler Australia Valiants were bigsellers here in the 70s) and this kit proved to be a good one - esp with the sheer amount of detail within (and that it has a V8 - wait, almost EVERY AMT kit I have ever built tends to have a V8 up front!) I couldn't help but think that the kit was a recent design, particularly as the instructions were copyrighted 2007! Soundtrack is - Paul McCartney - "Maybe I'm Amazed" (1970)
