Merkur XR4Ti Racing Front Suspension Redesign Test for WSU Senior Engineering Design

Description

Video of the testing of a Merkur XR4Ti racing front suspension redesign. We conducted tests to verify the performance increase of the suspension design created for the XR4Ti in Wright State University's ME 490 and ME 491 Senior Mechanical Engineering Design course. Team members are Christopher Anglin, Jeff Wetzel, Jason Wheatcraft and Scott Zirkle. The suspension was designed, manufactured and tested over a 5 month period. This video was used in our final presentation to demonstrate the testing we conducted. Our test environment wasn't as ideal as we would have liked. We made the best of what we had to work with. Testing was conducted on the redesigned suspension and then compared back-to-back with a mildly-prepared stock-style XR4Ti suspension.
