1989 Mille Miglia Retrospective - Day 3 - Part 4 - Roma to Contignano

Description

The final day of the Mille Miglia, a 7AM departure from the Holiday Inn in Rome, lunch near Siena and then over the Futa and Raiticosa passes before Bologna, Mantova and finally a projected 7PM arrival in Brescia. In the video here we were following a (well driven) 1957 Ferrari 250 LWB "Tour d'France", chassis 0763, on the hillclimb prior to the medival town of Radicofani. After leaving Radicofani the road crosses a group of hills / mountains before stopping for lunch 10KM south of Siena. Part 2 of this video will appear shortly. This was filmed using two Sony 8mm video cameras, one mounted outside the camera car, an Audi V8.
