1972 Mercedes-Benz 220D - stripping and priming fender

Description

1972 Mercedes-Benz 220D - stripping and priming fender. When I bought the car, it was wearing three layers of paint : 1) factory paint 2) first repaint in original maroon color (kind of sloppy) 3) second repaint in black All three layers were peeling, leaving the metal open to surface rust. I had to take the fender off the car anyway to do some work in the wheel well, so I stripped the paint off and removed old Bondo, covering a repaired dent. I intend to do a better repair on this dent.
