1972 Mercedes-Benz 220D start attempt

Description

Video taken March 21, 2010, the day after purchasing the car. I bought it from who I suspect was the fourth owner (owner #1 had the car from 1972 through to the mid-90s). The car had not been driven, and had not moved in years. I was able to drive it out of the seller's driveway and on to the trailer for the tow, and then again off the trailer into my driveway. This is a video of me trying to start the car the next day. I suspect bad glow plugs and a low battery. Still have not fixed it a year later. The car's in my garage and I've been concentrating on bodywork in the meantime. Trying to get the car roadable for it's 40th birthday in 2012.
