1972 Mercedes-Benz 220D - floor repair - steel patches

Description

The project continues. After I applied the Eastwood Rust Encapsulator in the last video, I moved on to making steel patched. I cut patches from sheets of 22 gauge sheet steel and affixed them with steel rivets. I've done this kind of repair to floors before. So long as you clean up all the rust first, and coat the completed repairs to keep them completely clean and dry, there's no reason you shouldn't get long life out of repairs like these.
