Safe car with all round disc brakes,built in crumple zones,monocoque construction,an early ton up executive cruiser and well loved by the UK Police Force as a fast response interceptor (Just watch the old TV series like the "Sweeney" or more recenly" Life on Mars"). This one is used regularly as a second car,handles well,fine in modern day traffic conditions,why creep along in an Austin when you can waft past in one of these.More P6s on the road than the later SD1,better quality materials have helped these stand the test of time.
