1948 PONTIAC SILVER STREAK 8, MOVIE STAR?
Description
THIS ORIGINAL SURVIVOR PONTIAC WITH 43000 MILES IS IN SUCH GOOD CONDITION. THE OWNER APPROACHED WHILE I WAS TAPING AND TOLD ME THAT IT HAD BEEN IN TWO MOVIES. THE OWNER STATED THAT HE OWNED IT FOR YEARS AND HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO DRIVE IT IN SCENES FOR THESE TWO MOVIES. WHICH TWO MOVIES, HE WASN'T SURE WHAT THE MOVIE TITLES WERE. THE SILVER STREAK ALSO KNOWN AS THE STREAMLINER DELUXE 4-DOOR SEDAN HAD A STICKER PRICE OF $3450 AND WAS POWERED BY AN 8 CYLINDER L-HEAD ENGINE, 248 CID WITH 104 HP. NOTICE THE RED PLASTIC HOOD ORNAMENT THAT LIT UP AT NIGHT. ALSO NOTICE THE THREE ICONIC SILVER STREAKS THAT PONTIAC USED FOR YEARS AS AN IDENTIFYER. PONTIAC INTRODUCED ITS FIRST AUTOMATIC TRANNY, THE HYDRA-MATIC. PONTIAC PLACED 5TH THIS YEAR IN SALES TO A TOTAL OF 235419. THE ENTERIOR OF THIS STREAK IS IN LIKE NEW CONDITION. OVERALL THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL SURVIVOR AND I COULD SEE IT STARRING IN MOVIE SCENES. THANKS VERY MUCH FOR VIEWING THIS PONTIAC.
