TVR Cerbera 4.2 - Quarter mile Drag Race

Description

My 1st TVR Cerbera 4.2 Bought in 1997. Reg: P555 TVR (Where are you now?) Rosso Pearl with Raven Black interior. I took it along to York Raceway Drag Strip on 21/09/97 where it posted a fastest time of the day of 12.33 secs. This car was much faster than my second Macau yellow Cerbera, which couldn't match this cars stunning quarter mile times. (The factory later informed me that the very earlier 4.2 models had quite lumpy 'high lift' cams, from the Tuscan racers in the AJP engine, and so were a little faster, as they had larger BHP) This car was 100% standard, with about 8000 miles on the clock. If you look through this, and some of my other postings you will see the huge exhaust silencer/back box almost touching down on the launch. Great car - I miss it !
