TVR Cerbera - Quarter Mile Drag Race & Burnout

A very early model TVR Cerbera 4.2 -- from 1997 Reg: P555 TVR - Where are you now? Rosso Pearl with Raven Black interior. I took it along to York Raceway Drag Strip on 21/09/97 where it posted a fastest time of the day of 12.33 seconds - this is the actual footage of that day. 0:28 - listen to those tyres squeeeeeeel ! This car was much faster than my second Macau yellow Cerbera, which couldn't match this cars stunning quarter mile times. (The factory later informed me that the earlier model 4.2 models had quite lumpy 'Tuscan V8 racers' cams in Its AJP engine, and so were a little faster than later models as they had more horse power) This car was 100% standard, with about 8000 miles on the clock. If you look through at 1:23 you will see the huge exhaust silencer/back box almost touching down on the launch. A truly great supercar - I miss it, with its big horse power and skinny tyres - it always kept me thrilled . . . . and sideways !
