VW Passat & Golf TDI walkaround

Description

A quick walkaround showing my 1997 Volkswagen Passat TDI, and my dad's 2002 Golf TDI. Both have a 1.9 liter 4-cylinder direct injection turbocharged diesel engine; the Passat is a 5-speed manual and the Golf is an automatic. The Passat averages 42 miles per gallon (US), and the Golf gets around 40 MPG. With the Passat's 18.5-gallon fuel tank, I have driven over 800 miles on one tank of fuel. Both cars have absolutely no rust, despite heavy use of salt on our roads every winter. Currently the Passat has 134000 miles on it, and the Golf is at 67000 miles. This video was recorded on the Kodak Zi8 in 720P 60fps mode and uploaded directly from the camera.
