1964 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III on Tour 2006 (Geiranger, Norway) Part 1 of 4
Description
This car is FOR SALE. Contact oyvindhuus@yahoo.com for info. SFU 759 was sold new by the HR Owen Plc. dealership in London on May 29, 1964 to a gentleman by the name of F. Hodges from Runfold Manor in Surrey. Mr. Hodges already owned three Bentley cars (one Bentley 6 and two Bentley S2's), but was not satisfied with the comfort these cars offered, especially the S2's. His new Rolls-Royce was, therefore, custom ordered with softer suspension than standard. The car was later resold through Jack Barclay Ltd., Berkeley Square, London and was for some time owned by Letraset Ltd. The last owner in the UK was Mr. Philip WS Lovejoy in Nottingham, who acquired the car at a Sotheby's auction at the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon on February 28, 1994. The car was exported from the UK to Norway in 1996 and was treated to an extensive frame-off restoration to original specifications. It is now in excellent drivable condition. The color is the original Smoke Green over Sage Green.
