1962 Buick Skylark STK 43-ATL.mpg
Description
Hard-to-find 1962 Buick Skylark convertible in excellent condition. These cars are really neat early 60's performers and were not produced in huge numbers. In 1962, the first year the Skylark convertible was offered in this body, only 8900 convertibles were sold. The Skylark offered attractive styling, a unique power plant, and a lot of customizable features. This fine example is finished in correct Arctic White (Code C) over red interior. This is a California "Black Plate" car that was in California until the current Georgia owner moved it to Atlanta in 2006. The car is in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The current owner kept very meticulous receipts and can document over $21000 being invested into this car over the years. Under hood, this car is powered by its numbers-matching 215 cubic-inch Buick "Fireball" engine. This all-aluminum engine produces 190 factory-rated horsepower and 235 lbs/ft or torque. It features a four barrel carburetor and 11-to-1 compression ratio. In 1962, this was quite a peppy package in a light car like the Skylark! This car is optioned with the automatic transmission, or as Buick called it, the "Dual-Path Turbine Drive". Other options include a factory dash-mounted clock, power steering, and an automatic convertible top with boot included. This is a really nice Skylark that is ready to drive and enjoy. The Arctic white paint has excellent shine, the body is extremely straight, and the interior is clean and comfortable ...
