63 Mercury Monterey $2500

Description

This is a 1963 Mercury Monterey Sedan. It's got a 302 V8 with automatic transmission. It runs reliably but needs some work before it can be a daily driver. I'm getting rid of this car because I will be moving soon and don't have the space or money to fully restore this car. I drive the car 2-3 times a week around the block to keep everything fresh and it turns heads and gets compliments every time! Pros: One of the rarer classics, will only go up in value! Fresh paint, fresh interior, clean inside and out. Runs, no overheating. I drove it from San Diego to Hemet when I bought it (hour and a half drive mostly uphill) and had no problems. Rear breezeway window. 4 barrel carb and 302 V8 are WAY better on gas than the factory installed 390 V8. Brand new battery. Cruises and rides like a large classic family sedan should. TONS of room! Cons: Could use a good wiring job, only the Headlights are hooked up right now. Fuel sending unit is broken - $70 part. The car originally had tons of chrome trim on it, it was all removed by the previous owner but I still have the pieces. Transmission leaks a little fluid. 2007 tags. Last time I checked it was $200 to register the car and get everything up to date - I just haven't had the time or the money to do so. The car is smog exempt so the fees just need to be paid. I have all the necessary paperwork from the last owner and you would get all my info too.
