Capital Theme (Sim City SNES) on piano
Description
This is the Capital Theme from Sim City on SNES. Music composed by Soyo Oka. I actually tried to play this game when it came out, but as I wrote in the selection video, I had a great talent to turn a bustling megalopolis into a ghetto, haha. But what I saw of the game was really great nevertheless. I'm repeatedly having an interesting experience here. When I saw this request, I wasn't particularly excited at first, but once I tried to play it, that changed, once again. It translates much better to the piano than I had thought. The harmonies in this are really very interesting, it's a very unique style, I would say. Also, I had no idea that Soyo Oka was the composer for Super Mario Kart as well. Legendary 16 bit-era music here. I tried to make the last part a bit jazzy, and this is far fetched, but at that part I had the rhythm and the feel of Traverse Town from Kingdom Hearts in mind, haha. Also, this is segmented again, could probably have had a good chance for a decent single-segment recording if I would spend a couple of days practicing this, but I just want to save time now.
