In memory of the recently-deceased doom metal legend and frontman for Type O Negative and Carnivore, we now have a video honoring his remarkable vocal range. A single listen to Steele's music makes it clear that he is a bass, but he is also quite capable of singing smoothly up to A4 in a surprisingly soulful timbre, compared to his very ominous-sounding low range. For the top half octave of his range, though, his timbre becomes very shouty and gritty, yet it can still be powerful sometimes. Though his low range is tremendous, it is harder to find full-voiced first octave notes by him than one would think, because he often hits them with vocal fry as part of his singing style. 1. 0:00 - Spoken lows down to C2 in full voice from "Finale: Apocalypticraft/Tunnel", with some vocal fry at a few points. There are also some sung C2s in the backing vocal. 2. 0:10 - A solid C2 from "Bloody Kisses (A Death In The Family)". 3. 0:15 - A slide down to a strong C2 from "Just Say No To Love". 4. 0:22 - Very strong melody singing down to B1 from "Nettie". 5. 0:34 - A few B1s from "She Burned Me Down". 6. 0:38 - Some slides up from B1 from "Wolf Moon (Including Zoanthropic Paranoia)" 7. 1:11 - Whispery full voice notes around B1 from "Suspended In Dusk", with one solid B♭1 and a fry G1. 8. 1:29 - B1s and a B♭1 from "Love You To Death". 9. 1:56 - Strong melody singing around B1 with some A1s from "IYDKMIGTHTKY (Gimme That)". 10 .2:11 - Eerie low singing from "All Hallows Eve", bottoming <b>...</b>
