What's that sound?--- The "SoundRacer " --- A digital FM tuner for your ipod or mp3/CD player. I'm testing this product and so far, I really like it. No, I kind of love it really. I am a car enthusiast but am presently leasing a very small car in Japan (a 3 speed automatic w/ a very small--but peppy-- 660 cc 3 cylinder engine). The car is pretty fun actually but I really miss SOUND sometimes and this little is lil' "SoundRacer" has made trips to the grocery store fun for me again. So, If you have a "less than thrilling car" and also use an FM tuner for an ipod or a MP3 player I recommend it. BTW, It works better than my Audio Technica-tuner which I paid more money for (sigh). It doesn't work on all cars though (sorry Prius owners) so, check their website. And of course has the added bonus of very convincing V-8 sound when you unplug your ipod or MP3 player (they also have a v-10 model too). The sound function "hiccups" every now and then---although I think it is b/c my alternator is SO small that the device struggles to pick up the signal from my tiny alternator. But for any car lover stymied by a boring car its pretty exciting. I'm liking it the more I use it. From the vids I have watched online the V8 sound seems more realistic to me.
