Matteson, IL Thunderbolt 1000T Tornado Siren
Description
** THIS TORNADO SIREN IS NO LONGER THERE. IT GOT REPLACED BY A 2001-130 ON APRIL 7, 2009. ** Here's my 1st video of the Thunderbolt 1000T tornado siren going off. It took me 2 months to record it because of the weather. This tornado siren sounds very healthy. It's pretty low-pitched, too. It's set on chopper level 3. It sounds the Alert signal first, then the Attack signal. I knew it was rotating at 4 RPM. It sounded like it did when I heard it during that tornado warning we had on June 7th. I didn't know it rotates counter-clockwise, though. It's probably a 3 phase because of that. You can hear another Thunderbolt 1000T in the distance, btw. I got so lucky recording this tornado siren because it didn't rain at all until the afternoon. Anyways, enjoy! Please rate & comment as well. :) PS: In case you're wondering if this tornado siren is leaning, it's not. It was my tripod that was leaning. I couldn't do anything about it. Oh, well. At least it's better than nothing. :)
