my 1963 and 1964 ramblers

Description

These are my ramblers, the red one is a 1964 rambler classic and i also have a 1963 in primer which is the same body other than the hood and grill which are interchangeable and an imprint in the rear roof pillars. Our plan is to switch over all the good parts (hood, trunk, doors, glass, grill, engine, trans, rear end, and interior etc.) from the 1964 which has rust on the rear quarters and in the floors. I am going to put all of this into my 1963 rambler which does not run and is an automatic. it is going to be a 63-64 rambler it will be a 1963 that will look like a 1964 because of the hood, grill, taillights, and trim etc. The 1963 is from new mexico and has no rust holes the quarter panels are all there and there are no holes in the floor. it had some surface rust which me and my dad sanded down to bare metal then primed, it has absolutely no bondo and is totally solid. We will change out the automatic trans for the three on the tree with overdrive in the 64, and will put the 287 v8 from the 64 into the 63 as well. The interior from the 64 is in great shape accept for a small tear in the drivers seat that will be fixed. My goal at the end of this project is to have a totally rust free restored rambler, it is a father son project and my first car that I will be driving this summer. I hope to one day build it into a drag car!!
