Description: BMW 320d (e91) Touring 177cv with full M-Sports Kit (body, suspension, 18" wheels) maximum horizontal speed (2nd attempt) on a slightly wet road, wind conditions unknown, automatic 6-gear box at 4400 rpm, Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Runflat 225/45R18 front + 255/35R18 rear. Original electronic management program, no chip or reprogramming to the engine... yet! ;-) Comments: I believe that on a descent, with tail wind, I can reach 250Km/h... the engine response still allows more 400 rpm (from 4100rpm until 4500rpm, the red line). The stability at these speeds is truly impressive... proving that the chassis can definitely manage the power/performance of a 335d twin-turbo engine or the V8 of the M3... with the apropriate suspension settings and chassis reenforcements.
