My E34 BMW 540i 6-speed Revs Up - No Limiter!

Description

Just a short clip of my project 540i - an E34 - revving up. The car's been chipped, which has also removed the factory limiter - consequently it revs with ease to somewhere around 8000RPM and shows no signs of stopping! It may be that at some point it's had the incorrect 6-cylinder dash fitted - but I've climbed higher and higher each time and still found no limiter! I'm hoping to get the right one back in soon. Strangely quite for a V8 when still - when it's on the move the note becomes much deeper and much more aggressive as the induction roar picks up under load. The factory engine is 4 litres, with 32 valves, making 290BHP and 300ft.lb of torque standard. More videos on this coming soon.
