Mercedes-Benz 500SLC at Wakefield Park

In-car video in a rare Mercedes-Benz 500SLC at Wakefield Park motor racing circuit near Goulburn, NSW, Australia. The 500SLC (like the very similar 450SLC 5.0 before it) was a limited production model to homologate these coupes for World Rally Championship in the late 1970s and 1980. This video was early in the day at a Classic Rally Club drive day. The conditions were very cold and windy which made it difficult to get any heat into the tyres and the track was also wet in places, all making for difficult driving conditions.
