A demonstratio of correctly hand cranking a 1928 Rolls Royce Phantom I. Ignition set to Magneto & Battery, Ignition timing to fully retarded, Mixture full rich, Speed governor at 8 O Clock position. Note always grasp crank in fingers not the palm and pull up in one swift motion. Never downwards . Disregard old comedy movies in which they show the man whirling away at the crank.
