1990 Volkswagen Jetta, CV axle replacement, part 1

Description

Part 1 (of 2) of replacing the CV axles in my 1990 Volkswagen Jetta 1.6L diesel. In all, this isn't a tough job, though I do find it MUCH easier to replace axles on a Subaru. This did take longer than it should have, but that was largely due to tackling this job in January in the frozen northeast. The principles shown here should apply to other similar FWD Volkswagen models.
