Test details: The Buick Park Avenue was redesigned for the 1997 model year and was discontinued after the 2005model year. Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was well controlled. During rebound, the dummy moved toward the driver door, and its head hit the B-pillar, head restraint, and shoulder belt housing. Injury measures — Measures taken from the dummy indicate a low risk of any significant injuries in a crash of this severity. Head accelerations from the B-pillar and shoulder belt housing hits were low.
