1991 VW Jetta 1.8 GTI 16V Cold Start (at night)

Odd that you are watching this as the preview screen is mostly black, but still.. Hastily-shot-thought-of-at-the-last-minute footage on a cheap digital camera device to indicate to a doubter that the Jetta starts first time (normally) even after sitting for a week or so. It was dark, it was cold, and I had just eaten a Creme Egg. All I could see on the viewfinder was the dash, and so I aimed for that. You can see the dials, and the red lights of hope, but that is about all: you could see the dials clearly on the original file, but who knows what can be seen once uploaded to YooToob and the processing pixies have converted it. The car had sat for about 2 weeks (another few days and the battery would have gone flat due to the immobilizer running it down). The digital camera appears to not cope well with the sound of 19 year old engines and fails to record them correctly. I shall be writing to my MP about this. I may film a version of this - in daylight - on a proper non-Mickey-Mouse Handy Sonycam. Then again, I may not. Uploading is a pain on this Vista-afflicted laptop.....
